This is Lek Chailert, renowned elephant conservationist, and Faa Mai, a baby elephant who lives at Save Elephant Foundation’s rescue and rehabilitation home for abused elephants. The elephants are loved there- there is no forced breeding, chains, or riding of elephants like some unethical “sanctuaries.” They are protected. A common sight is Lek singing lullabies to the elephants for their naps.
