A mother and four kids under 7 were living in a refugee camp in Sudan before arriving in Toronto last week. A lady named Rebecca Davies said the family is temporarily staying with her; they were brought to Canada through a church program that allows private groups to bring qualified refugees into the country. It can be a long and difficult process, but these kids made it and are so happy. Taking in refugees and immigrants is part of the soul of a democracy- they make it more diverse and strong.
