Pallas’s Cat, also known as the Manul, is a small wild cat; it only weighs 2.5-4.5 kg (5.5-9.9 lb). Pallas’s Cat lives on the grasslands and mountain steppes of central Asia. They are found in Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kashmir, and parts of western China and Transbaikal Siberia. They are found at handle altitudes as high as 5,050 m (16,570 ft) on the Tibetan Plateau.

Pallas’s cat is a lone nocturnal hunter and rodents are its main prey. It has odd low set little ears, thick plush fur, and short stout legs; it almost resembles a stuffed animal. It also has an extra flat face, less teeth than most other felids, and shorter claws than usual. Another unusual thing about the Pallas’s Cat is that it has circular pupils (most smaller felines have pupils that constrict into slits in daylight, whereas many of the larger felines have round pupils when constricted). Pallas’s Cats can live 12 years and probably longer.
